New Digital Catalog Now Available!

The redesign of the Digital Catalog is now complete. You can access the new site at the same address: http://digitalcatalog.cwmars.org.

All the information you are used to having available will still be there, but in a new, cleaner layout. Additional enhancements such as browsing specific format collections (EPUB, MP3, Kindle), suggested read-alikes for titles, and new filters for searching will be introduced. Patrons should find the new catalog a great tool for finding downloadable ebooks and audiobooks.

New Catalog: What Patrons Need To Know

As C/W MARS prepares to move to the new Evergreen system, patrons will need to be aware of some of the differences they will see in the new catalog and things that will and will not be migrated over from their catalog record.

In the new catalog, patrons will see some new features, such as:

All library items in one place! All C/W MARS libraries will have their items in this catalog, so patrons will not have to change catalogs to request from the other region.

The Road to Evergreen

C/W MARS has joined together with two other Massachusetts networks, Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (MVLC) and North Of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE), to explore migrating to a new platform for their libraries' system software. The decision was made to go with  Evergreen, which is an open-source library system developed in Georgia in 2006. Evergreen has since been adopted by libraries and library systems throughout the world.
